This summer, I learned how to make these fabric beads at Mary Stanley's Charm School. Here's the necklace that I completed. One of my goals for our Portland Art Collective Open Doors Show in December is to make more fiber jewelry. It's light weight, different and fun to create.
This is beautiful, Paula - I love the crochet and fabric you are using!
ReplyDeleteI love your necklace, Paula! Can't wait to see what you'll make for the show. These will be a hit, for sure.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jan and Suzanne, for your comments. The yarn used comes from Habu Textiles out of NYC. Their selection of Japanese fibers will amaze you.
ReplyDeleteI love the old kimono fabric, it's soft and a little industrial, cool

Wow, incredibly beautiful! You always come up with such cool ideas!
ReplyDeletePaula, this is gorgeous! Your color choice is fabulous. I think these would look great on darkened metal chains too.
